Communications Coordinator | Part-Time

 Chesterton Academy of St. Joseph, a joyful, classical high school in the
Catholic tradition, seeks a talented and dynamic Communications Coordinator.

This is a part-time position that could become full-time in the future. Being part of Chesterton Academy of St. Joseph's mission to help parents and families raise saints through faith and education brings a higher purpose to this position. Strong, consistent, accurate, and timely communication will help provide information and exposure to the school, aiding in our overall advancement strategies.

Communication & Design
Support Director of Development to help develop design concepts,
strategies, & campaigns.
Gather and organize content for weekly Newsweater via MailChimp
Communicate to both current and incoming parents the various
deadlines (application, tuition assistance/financial aid, enrollment)
Design, prepare, submit, and professionally respond to posts on our
three main social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Create and design online and print marketing materials, using the CSN brand standards, via Canva or InDesign (banners, event flyers, website updates, pictures, campaigns, videos, etc)

Documentation & Communication Schedule
Create, manage, and implement a communication schedule for all
categories of internal and external affairs (fundraising campaigns,
recruitment events such as open houses and shadow days, school life,
events, application process and deadlines, community advertising, etc)
Maintain a running document of communication posts for
organizational growth and improvement

Teamwork & Administration
Work primarily with Director of Development and Webmaster; when
necessary the Headmaster and Office Manager
Attend school events, both on and off campus, to gather content.
Media management and storage using shared Google Drive

Leadership: A dedicated member of our team who shows initiative in
accomplishing tasks. Asks questions for clarity and consistently serves
our students and community through communication. Humbly seeks
review and advice on posts as to represent the school and mission well.
Flexibility: Open to make social media posts or email blasts that might become urgent and are outside the strategic planning schedule.
Receptive to receive photos and content from others for outreach.
Inquisitiveness: As a young, developing organization, the director of
communications is eager to learn and experiment with new creative
ideas on how to reach our Chesterton Community, as well as the
broader Dayton-area audience. They are eager to continue building
upon the foundations already established in CASJ's first 2 years

QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for Catholicism and high school education.
Excellent knowledge of social platforms, especially Facebook,
Instagram, and LinkedIn
Familiarity with YouTube for future marketing strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree. Previous experience in marketing, design, and
communications are highly desirable. A background in or passion for
education is helpful, but unnecessary.
